The e Delhi High Court today, May 14, held a man guilty of aggravated penetrative sexual assault (rape) of his 10-year-old daughter for a period of over two years. The division bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Manoj Jain said that the man was guilty of offences under Sections 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) as well as Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The court passed the order while setting aside the trial court order, acquitting the man in the case.
