An animated video of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is going viral on social media. The video shared on X shows Mamata Banerjee, chief of Trinamool Congress, allegedly dancing to a song on a stage as the crowd cheers for her. The alleged spoof video went viral on social media and has garnered over 1.50 lakh views and nearly 1600 retweets. However, the video also caught the attention of Kolkata police. The DCP Crime Branch of Kolkata Police asked the X user to disclose his identity, including name and residence. "If the information sought is not revealed, you shall be liable for legal action u/s 42 CrPC," the tweet said. Later, the police issued a notice to the X user and said that the person was using social media for "posting offensive, malicious and inciting posts".
