Amid political controversy over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Hindus in Lok Sabha, a temple management in Maharashtra has started using his photo as a doormat. The mat, inscribed in Marathi, reads, "How dare you call Hindus violent and eve-teasers?" Speaking in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi had said Hinduism does not teach violence and hatred. But those who claim to be Hindu spread violence and hatred, he had added. The BJP had alleged that it was an anti-Hindu remark. However, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati recently defended Gandhi, stating that Gandhi's speech emphasised that violence has no place in Hindu Dharma, contrary to the controversy. Rahul Gandhi Said Nothing Against Hindu Dharma, Those Sharing Select Part of His Speech Should Be Prosecuted: Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati (Watch Video).
