Anil Desai from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) emerged victorious in the Mumbai South Central seat with 3,95,138 votes. Data on the EC website revealed that Desai defeated his Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) rival, Rahul Ramesh Shewale, by a margin of 53,384 votes. Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi and BSP candidate managed to secure third and fourth position respectively. Mumbai South Central is one of the four parliamentary constituencies in the city.
