An encounter occurred between the C-60 Maharashtra Police Party and Maoists in the forest area between Chhindbhatti and PV 82, near the border of District Kanker Police Station Bande, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Jharwandi in District Gadchiroli. The clash took place between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm. During the encounter, Sub Inspector Satish Patil of the Maharashtra Police C-60 Party sustained a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. A helicopter was dispatched from Thana Band in District Kanker at 16:07 to transport the injured officer to Gadchiroli for medical treatment.
