A 12-year-old girl, injured and semi-naked and bleeding after rape, sought help from passersby, but her pleas were met with rejection. A CCTV camera captured the distressing scene in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, the girl, partially clothed, reached an ashram, where a priest recognised signs of sexual violence. He rushed her to the district hospital, where a medical examination confirmed the rape. Due to the severity of her injuries, the girl was quickly transferred to Indore. Authorities have registered a rape case against unidentified suspects and invoked the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to identify and apprehend the culprits.
