In a desperate bid to reclaim his land, 65-year-old farmer Shankarlal Patidar was seen rolling on the floor with folded hands outside the Public Grievance room at the Collector’s office in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur on Tuesday, July 16. The incident, captured on video and shared on X, shows Patidar pleading as government officials look on helplessly. Patidar, hailing from Sakhtali village, alleges that in 2010, an official named Babu Deshmukh fraudulently registered his nine bighas of agricultural land in the name of Deshmukh’s son, Ashwini Deshmukh. Despite numerous appeals to the President, Prime Minister, and Chief Minister, Patidar has received no response. Having visited the Public Grievance office 25 times with relevant documents, Patidar’s efforts to reclaim his land have been in vain. The elderly farmer continues to fight for justice, hoping for intervention from higher authorities.
