A tragic accident near Hanuman toll in Rani Ganj claimed two lives and left three others critically injured when a tractor trolley carrying villagers overturned early on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. as a group of 21 residents from Gram Bakud and Dulara in Ghoda Dongri Tehsil were returning from a pilgrimage to Kanyakumari, according to Betul Collector Narendra Kumar Suryawanshi. Following the accident, four passengers managed to return home, while others were rushed to nearby medical facilities. Three individuals suffered severe injuries; one has been transferred to Bhopal for advanced treatment, while the remaining injured are being treated locally. The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister announced an immediate relief of INR 50,000 for each injured individual. Additionally, the families of the deceased will receive compensation of INR 2 lakh. The incident has drawn attention to the risks associated with overloaded tractor trolleys, often used for transportation in rural areas. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident and assess potential safety measures.
