Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced a price hike for commercial LPG gas cylinders, with the cost of a 19 kg cylinder increasing by INR 48.50, effective from today, October 1. The adjustment also applies to 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders, which have seen a rise of INR 12. Reportedly, state-run OMCs, including Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), implemented these changes, leaving the prices for domestic LPG sold in 14.2 kg units remain unchanged. Following the revision, the retail price of Indane-brand LPG is now INR 1,740 per cylinder in New Delhi, INR 1,692.50 in Mumbai, INR 1,850.50 in Kolkata, and INR 1,903 in Chennai.
