A Bengaluru-based travel influencer, Loveleen Arun, took to X and alleged that Air India had "arbitrarily" cancelled their scheduled Delhi-San Francisco flight for August 18 without providing any prior notice. "Delhi-SFO flight booked for 18th August has been arbitrarily cancelled and the passengers were offered to fly on the 22nd August" Loveleen Arun wrote in her post on August 12. She also mentioned that Air India had offered her an alternative to fly on August 17 but with a longer, more complicated route of Delhi-Mumbai-San Francisco instead, which would lead to a 10-hour long layover. Air India apologised and responded to the post seeking out her travel details for further assistance and resolution. Air India Express Flights Cancelled: Tata Group-Owned Airline Cancels Several Flights as Cabin Crew Members Take 'Sick Leave' in Protest, Say Sources.
