An oil tanker registered in Nagaland was found transporting about 200 crates of beer in Bihar, where liquor is banned. The Hindustan Petroleum tanker was seized in Muzaffarpur by the excise department after receiving a tip-off. When authorities set up a roadblock, the smugglers turned the vehicle onto a national highway but fled after being chased by officials. The seized liquor originated from Arunachal Pradesh. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the local trader responsible for smuggling the alcohol. A case has been registered, and raids are ongoing.
