Bollywood actress and Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut has landed in controversy for sharing a morphed picture of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The BJP MP has been slapped with INR 40 crore defamation notice by Supreme Court lawyer Narendra Mishra for sharing an edited photo of Rahul Gandhi wearing a skull cap and cross. Kangana Ranaut had shared the morphed picture on her Instagram story. Taking a dig at the Congress leader over his remarks on the caste census in Parliament, the Mandi MP shared a fake photo of Rahul Gandhi in which the Leader of Opposition (LoP) was seen wearing a skull cap on his head and a cross around his neck with turmeric and vermillion tilak on his forehead. "Jaati jivi jise bina jaati pooche jaati ganana karani hai (One who wishes to hold a caste census without asking anyone's caste)," Kangana captioned the photo. Speaking to the media, Narendra Mishra said that it was illegal under the IT Act to edit and morph someone's picture and share it on the internet.
