Following the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X to commend the performance of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) while expressing pride in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) achievements in the region. In his tweet, Modi stated, “I would like to compliment JKNC for their commendable performance in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.” He also extended his gratitude to voters who placed their trust in the BJP, assuring them that the party would continue to work for the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir. Highlighting the significance of these elections, Modi noted that they were the first held after the removal of Articles 370 and 35(A) and witnessed a notable voter turnout, reflecting the people's belief in democracy.
