Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Sunday, October 22, said that India is sending Humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Arindam Bagchi said that an IAF C-17 flight would be carrying nearly 6.5 tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material for the people of Palestine. He said that the flight had departed for El-Arish airport in Egypt.
