The Godfather Club in Mumbai's Andheri West is under scrutiny after journalist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj took to X and linked the establishment to a dating app scam. Several men have claimed they were conned out of INR 23,000 to 61,000 after meeting women on popular dating apps like Tinder and Bumble. The scam involves women matching with victims on the apps, quickly arranging dates at the Godfather Club or nearby venues. Once there, the women allegedly order items not listed on the menu, and in some cases, leave suddenly, leaving the men to foot unexpectedly large bills. Victims who protest are reportedly threatened by the club's staff or bouncers. Many of the victims have chosen not to report the incidents to the police due to concerns about personal exposure. Bhardwaj in her post urged the police to take action against such clubs involved in dating app scam. Tinder, Happn Dating App Scam in Mumbai: Is The Red Room in Andheri West New Location for Modus Operandi?
