The Indian Coast Guard team is rescuing a fishing boat stuck with engine failure in severe flooding off the Kerala coast. The ICG has shared several photos and a video of the operation. On the night of July 16, an Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Dornier aircraft successfully located the fishing boat IFB Aashni (IND-TN-12-MM-6673) with 11 crew members, 50 nautical miles west of Kerala's Ponani, the ICG said. The vessel was in distress due to severe flooding and engine failure. Despite adverse weather conditions, the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) of the Indian Coast Guard promptly initiated a search and rescue operation.
