The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heatwave to severe heatwave conditions likely to affect many pockets of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and a few pockets of Rajasthan. The IMD’s forecast, released today, predicts that these severe weather conditions are expected to occur on May 20. In addition, heatwave conditions are also likely in isolated to few pockets of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Gujarat, and regions of Saurashtra & Kutch. Northwest India Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Heatwave Warning for Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi; Mercury May Hit 45 Degrees in National Capital.
