The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today, August 4, said that monsoon is in its active phase in he country. IMD scientist Dr Naresh Kumar said that extremely heavy rainfall is expected in western Madhya Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan region, Goa and Maharashtra. He also said that they have issued a red alert for the same. "There will be no rain in Delhi-NCR in the next two days," he added.
