The Gauhati High Court voiced significant doubts on Friday over a public interest litigation (PIL) requesting a separate prayer room for Muslims at Guwahati Airport. The petitioner, who appeared in person, was probed by a Bench comprising Chief Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice Susmita Phukan Khaund on what public damage would be avoided by creating a separate prayer room.
