A Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in a field in Maharashtra's Nashik this afternoon, June 4. Both the pilot and the co-pilot managed to eject safely, as confirmed by Defence officials. According to reports from NDTV, the aircraft took off from Ozar in Maharashtra's Nashik and crashed in a field near Shirasgaon village during a test flight. The aircraft had been undergoing overhauling with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, reported defence officials. A video shared by news agency PTI, shows the fighter jet engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing from the aircraft.
