Hyderabad’s Madhura Nagar police have filed a case against Siddipet Traffic ACP Suman Kumar and three friends after they allegedly refused a drunk driving test and obstructed police officers from performing their duties. The incident occurred near SR Nagar Metro station, where officers were conducting routine checks for drunk driving. ACP Kumar, traveling in an SUV with his friends N Jaypal Reddy, N Srinivas, and G Venkat Rao, allegedly tried to evade the test. Jaypal, initially driving, reportedly switched seats with another passenger to avoid detection, but officers noticed and flagged them down. When officers asked for a breathalyser test, ACP Kumar intervened, citing his position and demanding they be released. He allegedly pushed the officers and struck the SUV’s bonnet, creating a disturbance. The incident was captured on video, which quickly went viral, prompting police to register a case against all four individuals involved.
