The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad in Telangana recently arrested 36 people allegedly involved in various cyber crimes. All the arrested accused were nabbed from Gujarat. Kothakota Srinivas Reddy, Commissioner said that the operation "Cyber Crime 7 Teams", resulted in the registration of 20 cases, including investment fraud, trading fraud, FedEx courier fraud, and KVC fraud. Reddy said that the accused were found to have cheated victims of over INR 12 crore, with INR 1.5 crore recovered and INR 2.8 crore frozen. Besides, the Cybercrime police team also seized cash, gold ornaments, laptops, mobile phones, SIM cards, bank books, bank cards, etc from the accused. It is learned that the 36 accused were involved in 983 cases across the country, with 131 cases registered in Telangana.
