Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar (SR Nagar) police have arrested seven individuals for attacking a mobile repair shop in Hyderabad’s Ameerpet, injuring its workers. The incident occurred on July 1, when Akhil, a resident of Kukatpally, led the assault over a payment dispute. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Akhil had previously taken two phone displays from shop owner Nikesh Kumar without paying and brought another phone for repair. Kumar refused further service until the outstanding payment was settled. In retaliation, Akhil, accompanied by six friends, violently confronted the shop staff, injuring employees Shasikumar and Mukesh Kumar with screwdrivers and other tools, and damaging shop equipment. Police intervened and arrested the attackers, who are now facing legal action.
