In Telangana's Hyderabad, doctors at Kamineni Hospital, LB Nagar, recently successfully removed a mutton bone lodged in the oesophagus near the heart of a 66-year-old patient. According to a report in The Siasat Daily, the mutton bone had stuck in the patient's oesophagus near the heart. Doctors said that the mutton bone had caused the elderly man severe complications, including ulcers, for over a month. The patient has been identified as Sriramulu, a resident of Kakkiren village. Sriramulu is reportedly said to have faced the issue due to his inability to chew food properly. It is said that he accidentally swallowed a 3.5-centimeter bone while eating mutton. In the beginning, he was misdiagnosed with gastric trouble. However, an endoscopy at Kamineni Hospital revealed bone obstruction.
