A major fire broke out at the Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) manufacturing unit near Hosur, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday morning. The blaze, which erupted around 5:30 a.m. in the mobile phone accessories painting unit, caused significant property damage. Thick smoke engulfed the area, causing panic among workers and local residents. Approximately 1,500 employees were on duty at the time, but no injuries have been reported. Seven fire tenders were deployed to evacuate the premises and bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway. A TEPL spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that emergency protocols ensured the safety of all employees, and necessary actions will be taken to protect their interests and those of other stakeholders.
