In Kangra, a combined rescue effort by the Indian Air Force and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is underway to rescue trapped residents after downstream villages in the Fatehpur and Indora sub-divisions were inundated by excess water discharged from Pong Dam. With the recovery of two remains on Friday, the death toll from the Shimla temple landslide has risen to 16.
