At least 27 people were killed, and several others were injured in a stampede at a religious congregation in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district today, July 2. Several leaders across party lines took to social media to condole the death of people in a stampede during "Satsang" in Hathras. Congress leader asked the state government and administration to provide treatment to the injured, while West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that her heart goes out to the family members of the deceased.
