Several people have reportedly died in a stampede at a religious event in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras. According to reports, the stampede occurred during a satsang in Hathras. Umesh Kumar Tripathi, CMO of Etah, said that a total of 27 bodies arrived at the post-mortem house so far. These include including 25 women and two men. Tripathi also said that those who were injured in the stampede have also been admitted to hospital for treatment. "Further details will be revealed after the investigation. The primary reason is a stampede during a religious event," he added.
