At least 12 people were killed and 16 injured in a collision between a roadways bus and a loading vehicle on National Highway 93 in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, on Friday. The bus was en route to Agra from Hathras, while those on the loading truck were returning to Sewala village. Four of the injured are in critical condition. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences and directed officials to expedite relief efforts. District officials, including the Superintendent of Police, Nipun Agarwal, visited the hospital and stated that the accident occurred when the bus tried to overtake the truck on the Agra-Aligarh National Highway.
