In a suspected honour killing in Haryana, a newly married couple was shot dead in Hansi, Hisar district, on Monday morning, two months after their marriage. The victims, a man from Sultanpur village and a woman from Badala village, were in a park when two motorcycle-borne men attacked them. The couple had married in Ghaziabad on April 22, despite being relatives, which their families opposed.
