A viral video on social media shows a broker questioning Finance Minister Nirmal Sithraman regarding the tax burden. In the video, the broker is seen asking multiple questions to Nirmala Sitharaman about tax burdens on brokers, including GST, IGST, and stamp duty, among others. As the video moves further, the broker asks the Finance Minister how expensive it is to buy a house in Bombay. The broker then asks Sitharaman how she will assist people paying 11 per cent tax while buying a house in the city. While questioning Sitharaman, the broker said that the government is a "sleeping partner" of brokers. The Finance Minister said, "A sleeping partner cannot answer sitting here." While the questions remain unanswered, it's important to understand what a sleeping partner is. The term "Sleeping partner" is not inappropriate. It simply means a person or partner contributing capital but not participating in business management.
