Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant addressed the media after the recent Cabinet meeting on September 30, unveiling a new pension scheme for government employees. Under the scheme, employees with adequate years of service will receive an assured pension, which will be at least 50% of their average salary over the last 12 months. In addition, Sawant announced that a minimum pension of INR 10,000 per month will be provided to those with at least 10 years of service. The scheme also includes provisions for family pensions, where spouses will receive 60% of the pension amount in the event of the pensioner’s death. This new policy is expected to provide significant financial security to retired government employees and their families. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tv id="content" class="container-fluid">
