Today, September 10, the Bombay High Court refused an urgent hearing of a PIL seeking to ban DJs and beam lights during the Eid-e-Milad festival. An advocate appearing for the PIL petitioner informed the bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya that the National Green Tribunal (NGT) had already banned the use of DJs and beam lights for Ganesh Chaturthi. To this, the Chief Justice asked the advocate to approach the NGT. "No urgency. Let the matter be auto-listed," the Chief Justice said. Mumbai: PIL Filed in Bombay High Court to Ban DJs and Laser Lights During Eid Milad-un-Nabi Processions.
