The Food Department of Ghaziabad has launched a crackdown on contaminated buckwheat flour (kuttu) after 17 people fell ill in Nand Gram. Arvind Kumar Yadav, the Food Officer of Ghaziabad, confirmed that a raid was conducted in the local grocery market, resulting in the seizure of 15 quintals of buckwheat flour. Authorities also acted on a tip-off and inspected the Ami Tata Chakki mill, which had supplied the flour responsible for the illnesses. Samples were collected, and an additional 2.5 quintals of buckwheat flour were seized from Siddharth Traders. The 17 affected individuals were admitted to a local hospital, with most now stable.
