Taking to social media, ABES Director Professor Sanjay Kumar said that the decision to suspend the faculty members was taken on the recommendation of the high-level committee constituted by the college authority.
Just a day after a video of a cultural festival held at ABES Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad in which a student was asked to get down from the stage for greeting the audience with "Jai Shree Ram" went viral on social media, the college has taken immediate action. Two faculty members, one who had called the student down from the stage, and another who claimed the greeting was "nonsense", have now been suspended. Taking to social media, ABES Director Professor Sanjay Kumar said that the decision to suspend the faculty members was taken on the recommendation of the high-level committee constituted by the college authority. The two faculty members who have been suspended are Mamata Gautam and Dr Shweta Sharma.
