The incident occurred at ABES College during a cultural fest when a few students in the audience chanted "Jai Shree Ram." In response, the student on the stage took the mic and said '"Jai Shree Ram." As the auditorium echoed in the chants, the professor told a student on stage that he should not have used the word “sloganeered” since it was a cultural program at the college. She also asked him to leave the stage. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
