The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) today, May 7, suspended its Assistant Director, who was arrested by the CBI on May 5 in a bribery case. The FSSAI has also started the process of derecognition of the Reliable Analytical Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., from whom the Assistant Director had allegedly received a bribe. The CBI arrested the assistant director of FSSAI posted in Mumbai on Monday, May 6, in a bribery case. The investigation agency also arrested the director of a private testing lab and two others.
