In Pune’s Pimpri Chinchwad, 28 students from DY Patil School were hospitalised on October 10 after suffering from food poisoning caused by sandwiches served for breakfast. According to DCP Shivaji Pawar, some students began vomiting and feeling sick after eating the sandwiches, which were prepared for 350 students from classes 5 to 7. While most of the affected students were discharged after primary treatment, all hospitalised students are now in stable condition. School president Abhay Khotkar confirmed that food samples have been sent for lab analysis, and promised appropriate action against those responsible.
