A shopkeeper in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur, was abducted by miscreants, stripped, and filmed in an obscene video before being extorted for INR 1.5 lakh. On the night of November 4, the victim was returning home from his sweet shop when Karthikeya Yadav, a resident of Kanpur, forcefully abducted him at gunpoint and took him to a printing press in Dhata. There, two accomplices, Hrithik Singh and Amar Singh, were waiting. The criminals stripped the victim, filmed the assault, and demanded P5 lakh, threatening to circulate the video. Terrified, the shopkeeper negotiated and paid 21.5 lakh to save his life. Afterward, the criminals called again, demanding the remaining amount. The victim filed a complaint, and police have registered a case under relevant sections.
