The IGI Police have dismantled a syndicate that was providing fake Indian identity documents to Nepali nationals seeking to travel abroad. The syndicate was found to be creating fraudulent documents, including Aadhaar cards and Voter ID cards, to help Nepali citizens obtain Indian passports. The operation came to light when two Nepali nationals, Dinesh Subba and Shyam Subba, were intercepted by police at the IGI Airport while attempting to board a flight to Cambodia. The two men had entered India illegally and were caught posing as Indian passport holders. Tabassum Alvi, a woman linked to the syndicate, was arrested for her role in organizing the fraudulent tickets and visas. The agents involved in the scam charged a hefty fee of Rs 10 lakhs for arranging the fake documents and travel arrangements. Delhi Police have launched an investigation to uncover more details about the syndicate and its financial or criminal activities. Thane: 23-Year-Old Woman Booked for Allegedly Using Fake Documents To Obtain Passport for Travelling to Pakistan.
