The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has raised serious concerns over the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in Bankura, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to rig votes through tampering. While sharing the images, TMC claimed to find 5 EVMs with BJP tags on them during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Bankura's Raghunathpur area. TMC claimed that the BJP is using EVMs with their tags to gain an unfair advantage in the electoral process and urged the Election Commission (EC) to promptly investigate the matter. Responding to the allegations, the Election Commission (EC) said that common address tags were signed by the candidates and their agents during commissioning. However, during the process only BJP agent was present. Later, signature of all agents were obtained during polling. West Bengal Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Clash Breaks Out Between BJP and TMC Workers Outside Polling Booth in Durgapur (Watch Video).
