Assembly Elections 2022: Election Commission Further Bans Poll Rallies, Roadshows Till January 22

Earlier, while announcing the poll schedule for Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur on January 8, the poll panel had decided to ban public rallies, roadshows and similar physical campaigning events till January 15.

The Election Commission on Saturday decided to extend the ban on public rallies and roadshows till January 22 keeping in mind the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
