The Election Commission of India (ECI) directed X, formerly Twitter, to take down an animated video shared by the Karnataka BJP on the Muslim reservation row. The Election Commission has asked X to remove the objectionable post from the handle "BJP4Karnataka immediately." The animated video shared by Karnataka BJP handle allegedly targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Muslims. The development comes after Congress filed an FIR against BJP President JP Nadda, IT cell head Amit Malviya and the party's Karnataka unit chief BY Vijayendra. The animated video showed caricatures of Rahul Gandhi and Siddaramaiah placing an egg with "Muslims" written on it in a nest along with three eggs marked as "SC, ST and OBC." Karnataka: FIR Against BJP's Social Media Post Titled 'Congress Manifesto or Muslim Legue Manifesto'.
