The Indian Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHAR) has approached the Bombay High Court, challenging the orders issued by the Mumbai city and suburban Collectors declaring June 4, the day of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 vote counting, a dry day. According to the petition, the vote counting day, June 4, has been declared a dry day, even though the counting of votes is likely to be completed, and the results of the elections will be declared by the afternoon. However, they were informed after a few days that since their decision was based on the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), there was nothing they could do about it.
