The incident marks a rare, possibly first-of-its-kind, live rescue of a person held in digital captivity. The victim, a businessman, was digitally held captive by scammers posing as ED and CBI officers. "I want to say, as Prime Minister Modi has advised, be cautious of cybercrime. But the MP Police Cyber Crime Department was the most efficient, most accurate, and I am really thankful to the two young men and the officers for helping us," the businessman said.
