Hyderabad police have issued an advisory urging residents to remain vigilant following multiple house burglaries by the ‘Dhar Gang’ on the city's outskirts. Police asked residents to be cautious after the gang was caught on CCTV cameras. Originating from Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh, gang members conduct recces of target houses during the day and break in between 12 am and 4 am. They use shared auto-rickshaws to evade suspicion and scale compound walls to access properties. Armed and sometimes violent, the gang primarily targets gated communities and isolated villas.
