The decline in Delhi's air quality came as people defied a ban on firecrackers during Diwali celebrations in the National Capital. A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared an update and said that at 3 AM, 35 of the 40 air quality monitoring stations in Delhi recorded a "very poor" AQI, while four others showed "poor" levels. On the other hand, IQAir said that Delhi is currently the most polluted major city in the world.
