On Saturday, a server breakdown at New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) caused significant disruptions to the hospital's online services, leaving patients frustrated as procedures were halted. The server, operated by the National Informatics Centre’s (NIC) eHospital platform, went down due to a technical issue, affecting various hospital functions. The breakdown particularly impacted the Outpatient Department (OPD), as new patients were unable to secure online OPD tickets for admissions or checkups. In response, the hospital administration quickly shifted to offline operations to manage patient prescriptions and maintain essential services. Patients experienced delays and inconvenience throughout the day as the hospital worked to resolve the technical problem. Efforts are underway to restore the server and resume full online functionality. Bihar Boy With Cardiac Issue Waiting for Surgery at AIIMS Delhi for Six Years, Helpless Father Narrates Ordeal.
