A daylight robbery near Peechi in Kerala's Thrissur district has shocked locals, with a viral dashcam video capturing the dramatic incident. On September 22, a gang of 12 men used three SUVs to block a car on the National Highway near a flyover under construction. The assailants kidnapped two men, Arun Sunny and Rojy Thomas, who were carrying 2.5 kg of gold ornaments worth Rs 1.84 crore. The video shows the gang surrounding the vehicle before forcibly abducting the men and looting the gold. The victims were later released, and a complaint was filed with the police on Wednesday. An FIR has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
