In a village in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, a crocodile had washed into the area by floodwaters and was tied to an electric pole and tortured by the villagers. A video that surfaced on July 10 shows the villagers standing around the tied crocodile as the reptile struggles to get free. The crocodile was allegedly tortured for hours by the villagers.
